Super visa insurance has become quite popular among citizens and residents of Canada. People living in Canada who have parents and grandparents living in another country can invite them over on super visa insurance. Once here, they can stay for one to two years without having to renew their status.
Most people who apply for super visa insurance tend to get it, but few of the visas land in the rejection pile. If you want to increase your chances of obtaining super visa insurance, here are four things you can do:
1. Determine Your Loved One’s Eligibility
Only parents or grandparents of citizens or permanent residents of Canada can apply for super visa insurance. If you want to invite your loved ones on super visa insurance, you need to provide them with proof of relationship to the person you are calling over such as a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, or other documents that show that they are your parents or grandparents.
2. Create an Invitation Letter
You need to create an invitation letter, stating in it that you will arrange for their care and support. In addition to this, you will also need to provide them with your income, showing that you either meet or exceed the Low Income Cut-Off. Apart from this, you also need to provide them with a written and signed promise that you will be supporting your loved ones financially while they are visiting you on Canada. In your letter, also mention the purpose of their visit and the duration they are planning to stay with you in the country. You may need to get the letter notarized.
3. Show Proof of Strong Ties with the Home Country
One of the primary reasons why the visa office tends to reject super visa insurance applicants is because the person inviting their loved ones to Canada is unable to provide them with proof that their parents or grandparents have strong ties with their home country.
It is important for them to know that your loved ones will return to their home country after their visit to Canada. Some ways to show strong ties of your loved ones with their home country include stating that they have jobs back home, they own a home, and they have children back home, if applicable. You can also mention other things such as mentioning the presence of family in their home country and their participation in volunteer work.
4. Buy a Good Insurance Plan for Your Loved Ones
You need to show proof of valid insurance for the duration of one year, offering minimum coverage of $100,000. You need to buy insurance from a company in Canada. Moreover, the insurance coverage should cover repatriation and hospitalization. Each them your loved ones visit Canada, they will need to provide them with proof of insurance.
